NOTD MAC 'Jade Dragon'

I have a thing or 2 for green polishes, and I have them in all kind of shades, shimmers, glitters etc. This one's from MAC's F/W Trend, designed by nail expert Jin Soon 

'Jade Dragon' is a deep forest green which is on the cooler side. It has shimmer flecks in it which is best captured in direct flash or sun light. IMO this is a much more beautiful green colour, than last years 'Beyond Jealousy' which was much darker - almost black with a hint of green.

2 coats + MAC Overlacquer

I'm a junkie....

Nailpolish junkie that is! This is a picture I took of  my collection some time ago - since then, I guess 20 more polishes has found it's way to my home. I just can't get enough :o)

A polish and some glitters....

Sometimes, after wearing a nailpolish for 1 day or so, I like to add some different glitter polishes on top, just to see how it looks....

This time, I had China Glaze 'Ingrid' (from the 'Vintage Vixen' coll.) on my nails, and ended up adding (all China Glaze, from l to r ) 'Bad Kitty', 'Dynasty', 'Dreamsicle', 'Medallion', and 'Snow Globe'.








I especially love 'Bad Kitty' over 'Ingrid', because the sheer pink tone turns the brownish/golden 'Ingrid' in to a cool mauve.
'Dynasty' and 'Dreamsicle' are far to pigmented to be a nice top coat over 'Ingrid', IMO. 'Medallion' btw, adds a golden, cool effect with its yellow/green holographic glitter - I really liked that! Unfortunately, I couldn't capture that, with my poor camera :)

'Snow Globe' is a very thick, gelé top coat, but it is really awesome to most colours!

Indian summer.....

Uhhh it's getting cold outside....and everytime fall comes along, I tend to use darker and warmer colours on my nails. But one colour (among others :)) I enjoyed a lot this summer was China Glaze 'Peachy Keen' ;D
